The human body has a “core” which is both solid and moving. Our bodies’ “solid inner core” is made up of our bones, joints and supportive muscles which help protect and strengthen these structural areas. Our bodies’ “moving outer core” can be thought of as the muscles which cause large-scale movement like walking or throwing a ball. The structural inner-core supports the moving outer-core, allowing the body to move. If there is any weakness or imbalance in the body’s inner-core structures, the body cannot move properly, creating injuries, chronic pain and damage. Building a healthy inner core is the foundation for a healthy body and healthy movements. It allows your body to move with less resistance and effort and protects your joints, reducing the potential for damage.
